Diary Entry 2

This week has been a very productive week for me and my magazine.

I started the week by re-drawing my rough drawings, which luckily are how I am actually planning on making my magazine.
Aswell as this I carried out some audience research with a 7 question questionnaire, gaining peoples views on how a 'pop' based magazine should look, and what price it should be. The results I got from this proved to be very helpful in making the small (but important) decisions for my magazine, such as what colours to use and what to have around the main photograph on my front page.

Speaking of photographs, I have taken all of my main artist photos and am very happy with the results. I wanted to show that my artist, Vita Wardle, is an attractive, stylish girl but I took the photos in a rough area to show that she has come from a tough upbringing. This will be focused on in my article on her, but I will, of course, have a large part of the article focusing on the music that she will be releasing, or has released.

After taking these photographs I went on to take photographs of other artists, which would appear on my contents page. I chose to take one of a female solo artist, named Anastise, and two man group named Inside Party. My contents page will have a short description of what their story will be about on it, so that it entices a reader to look at that page (if this were a real magazine).

I have also, thanks to my audience research, chosen which colours I wish to have as a house theme going through my magazine. The two main colours are blue and black, the final colour being white, which is portrayed through the white backgrounds of the pages.
